STUDENT DISCIPLINE CONTRACT
Dear Parents,
As parents are the primary educators in the development of the child we feel it is important that we share together the correct expected behavior and discipline of your child/children at St. Peter’s School. The following behaviors are expected :
1. Courtesy and respect should be demonstrated at all times to adults and all students. Students are also expected to display manners/respect and appropriate behavior in Church.
2. Fighting is never acceptable behavior. Inappropriate language is unacceptable.
3. Students are expected to be in full uniform every day of the school year unless it is announced through the office that we have a special dress/attire day, Only school sweatshirts/sweaters will be allowed on campus. No other sweatshirt will be allowed at any time. Red or blue colors are not to be worn and other gang signs are not to be worn or allowed. For safety reasons, no starter jackets are allowed on campus.
We require all boys to wear their pants at their waste with a belt. Saggy pants are forbidden. Boys shirts are not to hand below their green sweatshirts. Colored t-shirts are unacceptable for boys and girls.
4. Students are not allowed to wear makeup/nailpolish (only clear nail polish is allowed and no artificial nails). Boys hair must be cut to top of shirt , no tails allowed. Students are not allowed to attend School with bleached or colored hair, earrings hoops or dangling are not permitted. (Ear studs are acceptable).
5. Playing with water/ water fights are not allowed in school. Gum chewing and sun flower seeds are not permitted, No toys/balls or other play items are to be brought to school unless given permission by the teacher. radios, walkmans, CD players ,
DVD, gameboys, and other electronic devices are not to be brought to school, Students are not to bring beepers or cell phones to school( if cell phones are necessary they are to be left in the office). Whiteout is not allowed in school.
6. Before school, playing and running are not allowed as there is no teacher supervision. Students are expected to stay in their own class play areas at recess and lunch. There should be no running or playing in the breezeway at any time. Appropriate student behavior in the bathrooms is expected at all times.
7. Students are expected to complete their homework assignments daily.
8. Students are expected to be at school on time 8:00 each and every day (unexcused tardiness and absences are not acceptable). Continued tardiness will be brought to administration for evaluation if the student(s) is/are serious about attending St.Peter’s School. Students are expected to place all their lunch papers/debris in the garbage can. Students are expected to come into the school yard in the morning and wait for the morning bell. All cafeteria lunches must be ordered before 8:10 a.m.
9. Students are never permitted to deface or destroy school property (financial reimbursement will be expected should this occur).
10. Membership or association with gangs is not allowed and will involve immediate expulsion.
These rules are for the safety and benefit of your children receiving a quality, Catholic education. Standards and expectations are gifts we give our children to support them in life and build strong character. It is important that each student remember that our school community is comprised of over 500 students and that thoughtfulness and respect are expected at all times. Should a student(s) disobey the above behavior expectations there will be a consequence of after school detention on the day of the misbehavior. This detention will involve a period after school accompanied by a detention slip which will be sent home to you so that you are constantly aware of your child’s/children’s behavior.
We ask that you and your child/children sign these expectations of proper student behavior indicating that you are aware of the standards we expect and the consequences of the student's misbehavior.
The principal retains the right to amend the Handbook for just cause and parents will be given prompt notification if changes are made.

CONTRATO DE DISCIPLINA
Queridos Padres,
Como los padres de familia son los primeros educadores en el desarollo de sus niños, pensamos que es importante que compartamos juntos el comportamiento y disciplina correcta de sus niños en la escuela San Pedro. En seguida hay una lista de conducta esperada:
1. Cortesia y respeto debe de ser demostrado todo el tiempo a dultos y todos los estudiantes. Se espera que los estudiantes tambien demuestren buena conducta/ respeto y buenos modales en la Iglesia.
2. Peleas no son aceptadas, lenguaje inapropiado/ malas palabras no son aceptadas nunca.
3. Se espera que los estudiantes vengan en uniforme completo todos los dias, al menos que sea anunciado en la oficina que hay un dia especial de vestir ropa particular, Solo sudaderas de la escuela son aceptadas . No se admiten camisetas en ningun momento. Colores rojos o azul o se pueden vestir en la escuela y otros simbolos que puedan representar pantillas no pueden ser vestido o permitidos en la escuela. Por motivos de segura no sudaderas o chaquetas starter se permiten en la escuela.
4. No se permite que los estudiantes usen pinturas/ pintura de uñas
( solo pinta uñas claro, no uñas artificiales) Los niños deben de cortar su cabello arriba del cuello de sus camisas, no se permiten colas. Los estudiantes no pueden venir a la escuela con pelo pintado o despintado, no aretes ( que cuelguen ) son permitidos (aritos pequeños a raiz de oreja son permitidos)
5. Jugar con agua / Pleitos con agua no son permitidos en la escuela. Masticar chicle o goma de masticar, o semillas sun flower no son permitidos, no juguetes/ pelotas o otras cosas para jugar no deben de ser traidas a la escuela , al menos que los maestros lo permitan, no radios, walkmans, CD, DVD, juegos gameboy y otros juegos electronicos o equipos deben de ser traidos a la escuela.
Los estudiantes no deben de traer bipers o telefonos celulares ( Si los telefonos
celulares son necesarios deben de ser entregados en la oficina) No corrector blanco es admitido o usado en la escuela.
6. Antes de la escuela, jugar y correr no es permitido, por que no hay maestros disponibles para supervisar, Se espera que los estudiantes se mantengan en sus areas de juegos de sus clases asignadas de recreo y recreo de almuerzo. No se puede jugar o correr en los pasillos de los grados en ningun momento. Conducta apropiada en los baños es esperada todo el tiempo.
7. Se espera que los estudiantes terminen sus deberes diariamente.
8. Se espera que los estudiantes vengan a la escuela a la hora 8:00 a.m. todos los dias
(venidas a la escuela tarde o faltas , sin excusa no son permitidas) Si se continua con tardansas esto sera llevado a la administracion de la escuela para una evaluacion. Si los estudiantes estan serios en atender la escuela de San Pedro ellos deben de estar aqui a la hora. Esperamos que los estudiantes tiren los papeles de sus almuerzo en la basura. Se espera que los estudiantes vengan al patio en la manana y que esperen por la campana. Todos los almuerzos tienen que estar ordenados antes la 8:10am.
9. Nunca es permitido que los estudiantes destruyan o maltraten la propiadad de la escuela (reembolso financiero sera impuesto si esto ocurre)
10. Pertenecer o asociarse con pandillas no es permitido y esto es causa expulcion immediata de la escuela.
Estas reglas y regulaciones son por la seguridad y bienestar de los niños. Normas y espectativas son regalos que les damos para ayudarlos en la vida a edificar carácteres fuertes. Es importante que cada estudiante recuerde que nuestra comunidad escolar abarca más de 500 estudiantes y por lo tanto, se espera consideración y respeto todo el tiempo.
Si un estudiante desobedece las regulaciones arriba mencionadas, una de las consecuencias sería quedarse después de clase el día que se portó mal por un período de tiempo (estudiantes del 2-8) y durante las clases para los del K-1 en su salón. Se le enviará una nota de detención siempre cuando esto suceda para que esté informado del comportamiento de su hijo.
Le pedimos a usted y a su hijo que firmen el acuerdo de estas regulaciones para confirmar de que usted y su niño están informados de las regulaciones y las consecuencias si estas medidas no se cumplen o son desobedecidas.
